The men's underwear market will be heating up on February 2 as star soccer player and let’s face it -- sex symbol -- David Beckham reveals his 21-piece bodywear collection at some 1,800 H&M stores worldwide and on-line.
According to reports, Beckham was personally involved in the 18-month design process. “Collectively with my design team we spent time working on the feel, fit and style to ensure the product is not only something I would wear but on I would be proud to put my name to,” said Beckham. “I’m very happy with the end result.” And that is not a pun, by the way.
The mostly cotton collection in solid neutrals (grey, black and white) includes briefs, trunks and boxers ($12.95 - $14.95), T-shirts and tanks ($14.95), Henley shirts ($29.95), pajama pants and oh, how timely, long johns (both $29.95) for those frosty February days. More styles featuring new fabrics and patterns are in the works for upcoming seasons.
Natch, the tattooed athlete serves as a model for the David Beckham Bodywear campaign, looking rather good in his garb…don’t you think?
