NEW YORK, NY - FEBRUARY 11: A model walks the runway at the Doo.ri Fall 2011 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Eyebeam Gallery on February 11, 2011 in New York City. (Photo by David Lance Bismuth/Getty Images) Credit: Getty/David Lance Bismuth

Doo.Ri designer Doo-Ri Chung included in her program notes a sheet of inspirational phrases jotted down in what is presumably her own handwriting, and it's like glimpsing into her diary.  "City nomadic," she wrote, and "The silhouette is long and fluid."

Long, indeed.  Models (a tall and skinny species, by nature) here seemed stretched out, like candles dipped in layers of wool, jersey, cashmere and angora.  A ruffle anorak seemed sculptural, with large hood and flared hem.  Draped jersey gowns sink to the floor, perked up by slits slashed high to show off legs.

The line is almost all gray, much of it solid, but a murky, painterly print perked interest on a jersey dresss with draped hem. And a series of gray and black gowns at the end revealed open backs with webby macrame insets.  Broadway's much-chattered about "Spider-Man" better watch out--a very chic Spider-Woman is headed our way.
