If your ideal way to spend a humid August day is browsing designer clothing in an air-conditioned department store and noshing on cool frozen yogurt, you are in for a treat.
Not only will you now be able to engage in both of these activities regularly right in Garden City, but for one day Bloomingdale's wants you to indulge for free.
Forty Carrots will open on the lower level of Bloomingdale's at Roosevelt Field mall Tuesday, but to celebrate the opening they'll be handing out complimentary frozen yogurt to shoppers all day Monday, starting at 10 a.m.
The new location will serve up six flavors-- original plain, chocolate, coffee, peanut butter and two rotating featured flavors. There will be plenty of toppings, plus coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, fresh squeezed juices and more to keep you charged while you shop.
