Free Comic Book Day on Long Island

Attention LI comic book fans: your weekend just got a lot more exciting.

This Saturday (May 3) marks the 12th annual celebration of  Free Comic Book Day, which is held each year on the first Saturday in May. Over 2,000 comic book shops are participating around the world and it is estimated that over 4.6 million comics will be given away.

From superhero adventures to kid-friendly tales featuring animated favorites like SpongeBob and Hello Kitty, there's something for everyone in the 60 titles that will be available as part of the event.
