Jill Stuart flirts with rock and roll
Smoky eyes, tousled hair, crop tops and itsy-bitsy dresses . . . the typical Jill Stuart girly-girl got a rocker chick makeover for spring 2014.
The feminine silhouettes and delicate color palette (black white, periwinkle and nude) still give off that sweet, doll-like look she's known for, but cutouts, plunging necklines and leather pieces gave the collection a punch of attitude we haven't really seen from her before.
Then there were softer spring staples -- sheer LWDs (little white dresses), short suits and tunics, and touches of lace. Baby steps, for sure, but an intriguing hint of good girl gone bad, nonetheless.
