NAHM: Ally Hilfiger designs clothes for confident, smart women

Ask Alexandria Hilfiger -- uh, yeah, Tommy’s daughter -- who the customer is for her collection designed with Nary Manivong, and she won't hesitate. “She’s got strength and determination. She's confident. She’s creative, smart and well-read in art, history and the sciences.”
This is the designer’s third season and it, too, is very smart. Included in the 18-look mix that featured clean silhouettes, were interesting touches, such as an Egyptian print that, from afar, was deceptively classic. Up close, however, the pharaoh is toting shopping bags, hedge-trimming and skateboarding. Also lovely, a 1930s-inspired swirly floral and some clever frocks with loops and lace and several variations on the company's shirtdress; one, a three-quarter length, featured a drop waist on the back only.
Despite the big-name dad, and the fact that the apple does not fall far from the tree, NAHM has its very own cool vibe.
