There’s a particular thrust toward engaging and entertaining customers that goes way beyond the merchandise when it comes to the "sport’" of shopping in the Hamptons this summer.
Maybe the draw is an après spree stroll in the beautiful gardens at Sage and Madison’s chock-full shop of home goods and high fashion with a cup of cold brew, or a sit-down in the lounge at CardVault by Tom Brady (yes, that Tom Brady) to ogle and trade cards and memorabilia in East Hampton.
Likewise at the HUB in Bridgehampton touted as a venue for “retail-tainment” there are fitness classes galore along with plenty of stuff to buy and try. Of course, spas sometimes offer the most indulgent experiences and Naturopathica has a new place for that, also in Bridgehampton.

Legendary quarterback Tom Brady is touching down in East Hampton opening his fifth nationwide sports card, trading card and memorabilia retail store. Touted as an “immersive retail experience,” through the store’s signature vault door, find authentic memorabilia from brands like Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokemon and Fanatics; coveted signed jerseys and plenty of logoed merchandise such as mugs ($12), sweatshirts ($34) and trucker hats ($20).
There’s an extensive selection ranging from sealed boxes and packs (prices here go from $20 to more than $20,000) to individual cards and iconic grails (highly sought-after rare cards) valued well into the six figures. There’s even a lounge for folks to open packs, trade and enjoy the hobby.
Wondering about your collection? Customers can submit their cards for authentication and grading in a dedicated submission area. “Bringing CardVault to East Hampton, a community known for being on the cutting edge of art, culture and collecting, is an exciting step forward for our brand,” says Ed Kane, co-founder of the company. Brady did attend the store's opening on May 15.

Want to amble around a gorgeous garden sipping a cup of chai? Or in the market for a fab hostess gift? Perhaps you’re lusting for some seriously high-end fashion? The offerings here run the gamut and although the store’s not new, each year owner Chris Coffee pops up with some of the freshest takes in the marketplace.
Set in a circa 1797 space, find home decor, tabletop goods, a smattering of furniture, “moments that make a home special,” says Coffee. An assortment of European imports such as teas, salts and mustards along with local honey, dried flowers and a rainbow of beeswax candles are included in the mix, some of these packed into the shop’s signature curated gift baskets.

In a separate 500-square foot rustic barn cum fashion emporium, find an amazing array of brands such as Libertine, The Falls (a collaboration with tony new Manhattan store Printemps) and Joey Wollfer‘s new collection of reimagined womenswear, Reworked.
Coffee says his ever-evolving shop is one of those “hidden gems. It’s a ‘if you know, you know’ kind of place, and a whole experience. ... I think that’s what people want more of.”
The boutique draws regular folks along with celebs such as Jerry Seinfeld, Drew Barrymore and Julie Andrews. A coffee runs $4; a dessert plate shaped like a cabbage from Bordallo Pinheiro is $36; a Christian Tortu tomato-scented candle (“smells like you’re in the garden,” says Coffee) is $84, and a bespoke jacket from Libertine goes for $4,500.

The HUB

It’s a full-on makeover for this 6,000 square-foot space which was dubbed “Project Hamptons” last summer. The new name stands for “Health, Unity and Beauty” and the concept as described by co-founder Michael Catalano is as a ‘luxury retail brand co-op’ with some 40+ elevated brands and curated activations throughout the season.
“It’s the total opposite of a snooty high-end retail experience,” claims Catalano. Headliners here include premier fitness classes courtesy of “fit-influencer” Isaac Boots who will lead his iconic TORCHD sessions ($75 per class) through Labor Day. Visitors can hit up the Skinney Medspa, purchase skincare from Hampton’s Sun, add to their ear parties via jeweler Ali Weiss’ piercing events and even get a crisp haircut at Danny the Barber.
“I can’t live without a palm tree,” says The HUB co-owner Alex Vinash about of the store's tropically inspired interiors. Credit: Elizabeth Sagarin
Notably, The HUB’s new creative director is designer Alex Vinash, a fashion darling with his own store in Southampton. Vinash has imbued the space with his exuberant vision along with his signature blast of color. “Everything in the Hamptons is always white and blue, but I can’t live without a palm tree,” he says of the new tropically inspired interiors.
His brand will be sold here along with vendors such Crescala Collective Europe offering over a dozen luxury brands from around the world. Other lines include Goldno. 8, Teddy Cashmere, Buddha to Buddha Jewelry and Anna Mason London. Pre-owned luxury handbag purveyor, Luxury In Reach, might just have that Birkin you always wanted.
There will be tastings aplenty at the boldly designed bar (yum, caviar, Rosé) and coffee will be sold, but for folks who really want to rev up, a hot pink vehicle from Moke America and Bluejay electric bikes are there for the renting.
