STYLE FILE: Bridal news
After 20 years in the bridal biz, Vera Wang clearly knows a thing or two about perfect matches. But her new collaboration with David's Bridal may be her most inspired yet. White by Vera Wang, which launched earlier this month, is a 12-piece collection of wedding gowns that has all the hallmarks of Vera couture without the Vera-couture price tag ($600 to $1,400, compared to $2,000 and up). The first White by Vera Wang is available at 150 David's Bridal outlets, including Westbury and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan and by special order at all other David's Bridal stores, or at davidsbridal.com. - Michele Ingrassia
Dressing down
If beauty starts from the ground up, then Mixology NYC can get you started. The accessories brand offers clever ankle accoutrement, like Edie's ankle bibs, from their Dark Angels collection ($70 for the pair), with rhinestones, chunky chain and lobster-claw clasps, or a multi-chain boot bracelet from the Cowgirls line ($40 for one, $70 for a pair), in brass, copper or nickel, which slings round the outside of your boot; at mixologynyc.com. - Joseph V.
