Style File: Romper room
Warm weather means -- yep -- the romper is back, and it may be the only item of clothing worn by both toddlers and 20somethings alike. Think of it. A style (introduced as kiddie playwear around World War I) that looks cutesy-wootsy or super sexy . . . depending on the wearer, of course. Today's adult versions come off the shoulder (Akris), in sweet florals (Urban Outfitters) or denim (here, from Baby Phat, $69, at Macy's and babyphat.com).
Heel help
Socialites at Veuve Clicquot's annual Polo Classic, held recently on Governors Island, didn't worry about their spiky Manolos sinking in the grass. They received free pairs of Solemates High Heelers, tiny plastic nubs that fit onto heels to prevent them from sinking into grass (or sidewalk cracks). Perfect for Hamptons lawn parties; $9.95 a pair, in clear, black, silver, gold at thesolemates .com.
