ChristmasLand experience opens at Tanger Outlets in Deer Park
Get out your cellphones and head over to ChristmasLand at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park where over two dozen holiday-themed immersive environments await for fun photo-ops starting Dec. 2.
“We love Halloween haunted houses and thought, how cool would a Christmas haunted house be, minus the haunted part?” says Michael Marra, president of Unique Social Events who is copresenting the event with Brandon Havrilla of Redmax Events. “This is the perfect opportunity to shoot photos and videos for all your social media outlets.”
The 20,000-square foot space gets broken down into 10x10 or 15x25 individual areas which can each hold one-two or six-eight people at a time. Christmas music is playing throughout each location and approximately 50 people go through every 30 minutes. The all-ages event takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete, but guests are welcome to stay as long as they like.
“Each room will have its own décor,” says Marra. “This event is designed to re-spark the Christmas spirit not only for the youth but for adults as well.”
Guests can visit a reindeer at its stable or head to Santa’s workshop where they can write a letter to the man in red, take a photo on his throne and even check their name on the nice list. Test your aim at the snowball throwing range then head to Elf School to learn about the code of elves. Enter Candy Cane Lane which is a red and white room of peppermint candies or go into a life-size gingerbread house. Chill out at Dancer & Prancer’s Ski Lodge and visit Mrs. Claus’ Bake Shop where freshly made cookies and cupcakes along with hot cocoa and coffee will be for sale.
Each ticket includes a ChristmasLand branded Santa hat. There will also be Christmas themed souvenir cups and shirts for sale.
