Take a peek through the keyhole and get "curiouser and curiouser" as "The Wonder Pop Up," an Alice in Wonderland themed experience, comes to 210 Events in Rockville Centre from April 4 through May 4.
"The entire space is transformed into a vision of what Alice sees once she enters Wonderland," says Michael Marra, president of Unique Social Events. "We tailor the decor from both the live action and animated movies featuring green hedge walls, red roses, butterflies, oversize mushrooms, black and white checkered flooring and large playing cards."
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT
Alice and the Mad Hatter will perform live and do table side interactions with all guests.
"Alice sings ‘In a World of My Own’ only to be interrupted by the Mad Hatter, who is trying to figure out what land they are in," says Marra. "Once they realize what’s going on, both perform ‘The Unbirthday Song,’ which gets everybody in the room toasting with their teacups in celebration of every day that’s not your birthday."
Each table gets the opportunity to have various photo-ops with the characters as well as in front of two different decorative backdrops.
MAD MENU
Three courses are offered starting with appetizers like Cheshire Cheese Sticks with dipping sauce ($18) or the Mad Hatter’s Mess — French fries tossed with brown gravy and melted mozzarella cheese ($18). Some entrées include the Queen of Hearts’ Penne Delight ($28) or The Wonderland Wrap composed of grilled chicken, avocado, lettuce, tomato and spicy mayonnaise ($23). Don’t forget dessert such as Chocolate Fantasy Cake ($14), Imaginary Ice Cream Sundae ($16) or Charmed Cheesecake ($14).
Cocktails (for those 21 and over with valid ID) served are We’re All Mad Here (tequila, lime juice, agave, triple sec, mango puree and muddled strawberries) or Off With Her Head (jalapeño-infused tequila with lime juice, triple sec and strawberry puree mix). Both are $18.
