The 2010 Winter Olympics may help Mariah Carey bring home the gold - gold record, that is.

Carey has contributed a new song "100%" to the "AT&T Team USA Soundtrack," with proceeds from sales through March 1 going to help Team USA. But the "We Belong Together"-ish ballad could turn out to be a sleeper hit for the Greenlawn native, with its combination of inspirational lyrics ("I'm a believer, not just a dreamer, I'm giving everything I got") and its sing-along bridge that asks everyone to "Put your ones up!"

It's a ballad meant for victory montages and inspiring background stories, and if it hooks up with just the right moment, it could easily be a sudden sensation.

"I am honored to be a part of this effort to support Team USA through this soundtrack," Carey says in a statement. "The Olympic Winter Games create once-in-a-lifetime moments for the entire world to see. It is truly amazing to watch these first-rate athletes compete and give everything they have to reach new levels of achievement. Their actions provide hope and inspiration for everyone. As artists, we strive to encourage others through our music."

The song also will be included on Carey's upcoming "Angels Advocate" remix album, due out March 30.
