Old Westbury named one of world's top public gardens
Searching the world over for beauty? No need to look any farther than Westbury. Really.
In an article published yesterday, Four Seasons Magazine -- published by the hotel and resort conglomerate -- named its picks for the top three public gardens in the world, with Old Westbury Gardens hailed as a "vibrant, living breathing, changing and growing landscape, so near to New York City (a half hour by car) yet so far away in spirit."
It was right up there with the National Orchid Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and the Royal Horticultural Society Garden in Wisley, Surrey, England.
I'm no stranger to the place, and I have to agree. Check out these photos and the video of a tour I took last summer. Then plan a visit of your own.
