There's nothing quite like summertime on Long Island.
With so many things to do, Long Islanders have a variety of ways to enjoy themselves in the warmer weather. From surfing the waves at a local beach to catching a baseball game, readers have submitted their favorite photos from their summer adventures in hopes of winning Newsday's photo contest.
These 35 images have made it to the finals, and the winning photo will make it to the cover of this year's Fun Book.
