Sailing regattas and sailboat races on Long Island
Listen for the beat of the drums, as more than 30 teams of dragon boat paddlers take to the harbor to compete for the first-place prize medal, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, rain or shine. Spectators can take in the Dragon Boat Races from Harborfront Park on East Broadway. The competition race is complimented onshore with martial arts performances, a lion dance, Taiko drumming, Pan-Asian food for sale and live entertainment.
