Just got some distressing news: VERO in Amityville is closed for repairs after a fire Tuesday night.
The restaurant (which earned three and a half stars from Newsday) is a collaboration between Michael Esposito, owner of Vittorio’s (just down the street) and skilled chef Massimo Fedozzi, who cooked at the former Palio in Jericho.
“Fortunately, no one was injured, and we’ll be back up and running in no time,” Esposito said, estimating the restaurant should reopen by Aug. 1.
Watch for updates.
VERO Cibo • Vino • Liquori Bar is at 192 Broadway, Route 110, Amityville, 631- 608-4340.
