Arthur Avenue in Smithtown leaves station

Arthur Avenue Restaurant & Bar, which opened in Smithtown in 2010, follows its predecessor, Union Station, into the annals of local history. The restaurant was housed in a picturesque manse by the Smithtown LIRR station and served a wide-ranging menu of Italian and American pub-style dishes that included chicken Parmesan and peppercorn crusted tuna.
A sign heralds the coming of a new branch of Croxley’s Ale House, which already has Long Island branches in Farmingdale, Franklin Square and Rockville Centre.
