A “for rent” sign now hangs on Blue Chill Fish House & Grill in Babylon.

The cheerful red-white-and-blue seafood restaurant, under executive chef Michael Gataleta, garnered a two-star rating in 2010 with such items as “French-y” onion soup dumplings, seafood sliders with house-made Cajun potato chips and adobo-seared tuna.

Another sign, handwritten, says the place will reopen soon. Whether it will be under the same ownership or as an entirely new venture remains to be seen.
