46°Good evening

Two Hamptonians come together for the 2010 season. The owners of Bostwick's Seafood Grill and Cherrystones Clam & Lobster Shack are set to merge the two and open Bostwick's Chowder House in East Hampton later this month.

The new eatery will open at the 277 Pantigo Rd. address of Cherrystones, which is closed. The original Bostwick's on Gann Road also is closed.

Naturally, The Chowder House is expected to emphasize chowders, a raw bar, lobsters and dishes such as coconut shrimp spring rolls, oyster po' boy sandwiches, clam strip rolls and fried seafood, plus a clambake. Specialties from Bostwick's, including fish tacos and pasta with seafood, also will be available, along with blackboard specials based on the day's catch.

Restaurant owners Chris Eggert and Kevin Boles plan a casual approach to all this, stressing the beach theme and outdoor as well as indoor seating. Price ranges are expected to be $4 to $16 for appetizers and $8 to $19 for main dishes.
