Burger King introduces new breakfast sandwich: The Egg-Normous Burrito
When it comes to breakfast, bigger is better at the home of the Whopper.
Burger King has ramped up the breakfast brigade by introducing the Egg-Normous Burrito ($3.49), a two-handed number stuffed with sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns, and Cheddar and American cheeses.
It is a follow-up to the Supreme Breakfast Sandwich for $3.79 — with two eggs, sausage, bacon and cheese on a hoagie roll — that replaced the more dainty English muffin sandwiches.
Burger King’s move to beef up breakfast reinforces the rivalry among fast-food chains. McDonald’s all-day breakfast turned around a sales slump in January, following two years of steady decline.
Burger King continues to sell breakfast mornings only — until 10:30 a.m. weekdays, 11 a.m. weekends — at least for now.
