Chada Thai Bistro opens in Hicksville

Chada Thai Bistro has taken over the freestanding building on Old Country Road that, from 2011 to earlier this year, housed Mukda Thai. The owners have spruced up the interior and exterior; the menu is extensive and reasonably priced.

Starters such as Thai spring roll, golden bag (stuffed with ground pork and shrimp) and vegetarian curry puffs are between $5 and $7. Curries and noodle dishes are around $11. Chef’s specials include half a Thai barbecued chicken with sticky or curry rice ($15), roasted duck with spicy pineapple curry ($19), jumbo shrimp-avocado Panang curry ($18) and “special honor of the king” (pan-fried chicken breast marinated in red curry, served with peanut sauce and curry rice, $15.) Online ordering (for pickup) is available.
