Delhi 6: New and Indian in Hicksville

Delhi 6 Indian Frontier Cuisine is now on the frontier of Hicksville’s Indian restaurant scene, opening in the cavernous former digs of Jaiya Thai. Chef co-owner Noddy Singh, who used to be with the nearby Royal Bukhara Grill, said the place has seating for about 150 people. There's also a bar, lounge and private party room.
Delhi 6 serves a lunch buffet from 11:30 to 3 p.m. weekdays ($9.95 a person) and until 3:30 p.m. weekends ($12.95 a person).
On the regular dinner menu: vegetable samosas ($4), tandoori chicken (half, $8; whole $14), bhuna goat ($10), Bengali fish curry ($13).
This is the second branch of Delhi 6 to hit the New York metro area. The original is in East Windsor, N.J., near Princeton.
