East Hampton: Coming soon - NYC's Serafina

Serafina, the Italian restaurant group with branches in Manhattan, is taking the expressway east.

It's the first opening announcing the 2010 season. Serafina East Hampton is slated to open in mid-May. It takes over the North Main Street site vacated by Matto. The new eatery will emphasize pizzas and pastas, and casual, northern Italian fare.

The price range: appetizers, $7 to $15; main dishes, $17 to $28. Serafina also will offer a menu for children.Indoors, the place will seat about 40. There also will be outdoor seating about  the same number.

The East Hampton restaurant will be at 104 N. Main St.; 631-267-3500.
