If you’ve had any late-night fun this past week, you may have thought to yourself, “I should have brought a light jacket.”

In what could be called a precisely-timed piece of synchronicity, the official summer social season ended on Tuesday (Sept. 3), and the first weekend following, a slight, post-sunset chill appeared in the nightly air. It is true that many of the waterside, Fire Island and Hamptons spots are now leaning toward the end of their season, but if you keep an eye on the event calendars of these types of clubs, pubs and other hangouts, you can still find a few gatherings.

For example, Georgica Restaurant and Lounge in Wainscott — best-known as a busy eatery and celebrity draw from Memorial Day thru Labor Day — will, on Saturday, Sept. 7, be throwing one more big bash before shutting down for the fall.

Dinner reservations are available, but the night will also feature live music from New Life Crisis (8 -11 p.m.), to be followed by a session from DJ Cred that will run until 4 a.m.
