With Martin Luther King Jr. Day giving many of us an extra-long weekend, this Monday may seem a lot like Sunday -- and if you’re someone who believes Sunday is a good day to get out and party, then it stands to reason that Monday, Jan. 21, might be considered a night for fun.

If so, Monsoon Asian Kitchen and Lounge in Babylon Village, which has already been running a Monday party for many months, will raise its entertainment level by bringing Long Island’s own celebrity DJ, Theo Pisani in to spin, starting after 9 p.m.

Theo, known as a talented remix producer and for his series of albums (Nervous Records; “Summer Clubbing” Volumes 1 to 4) by the international dance community, is also a LI native (born in East Islip) who still plays clubs in Nassau and Suffolk frequently. (He was last scheduled to mix at Monsoon for its first-ever Halloween event -- a gathering that was canceled due to superstorm Sandy.)

Word is he’ll be situated on a specially rigged landing for this bash, freeing up both levels of Monsoon for bar space and to keep all tables enabled for dining and party purposes. Admission is $10, with an opening set by DJ Julian P. Dress to impress; age of admission is 21 and over.
