With May right around the corner, some “may” feel it’s time to start thinking about summer-style fun -- and if so, keep in mind that a popular Hamptons dining spot and hangout just happens to be kicking off its impending 2014 warm-weather efforts this coming weekend by hosting a generous bash to mark the occasion.
Although it officially opened for the year back in March, Dockers Waterside in East Quogue is throwing a “Season Launch Party Open House” event on Saturday, April 26 -- and it begins with two hours of free edibles and beverages from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.; the food consists of complimentary hors d'oeuvres, the gratis drinks being wine and champagne (no reservations necessary).
To follow, Dockers will then bring Paul Mahos and New Life Crisis to its staging area after 7 p.m., and the musicians will be performing sets until midnight, with a DJ spinning during breaks. (Mahos and his band are extremely popular on the East End, so a large crowd is likely. An RSVP isn't necessary for the entertainment, but dinner reservations are highly recommended.)
In addition, it’s worthy to note that Dockers has also announced it is bringing back its special happy hour deal every Friday -- as from 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. guests can choose an appetizer (from a special list) with any sort of drink and pay just $10 for the combination -- and this will be available throughout the summer (excluding certain to-be-announced dates, such as the Fourth of July).
