If you are a dance or pop music fan who loves classic tracks, consider a trip to Zachary’s in East Meadow on March 23, as the nightclub will be hosting a performance from C+C Music Factory, one of the early 1990s most-recognizable acts.
In actuality, only one original member of the group – MC Freedom Williams – will be onstage, as Williams continues to perform under the group’s appellation. However, his voice is a key element of some of the biggest hit songs created by producers/ songwriters Robert Clivillés and David Cole (AKA “C+C”) -- such as "Here We Go (Let's Rock & Roll),” "Things That Make You Go Hmmm .?.?." and "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" -- so chances are his renditions will be faithful in sound and style. (Furthermore, if there is any venue appropriate for a show involving classic dance, it is Zachary’s – a club that has been in operation since even before C+C Music Factory was in its heyday during the early ‘90s, and all of the band’s hits were likely spinning there when the tunes were first current .)
The event kicks off after 10:30 p.m., and also features a session from DJ Charizma; ladies receive free wine, champagne and cosmopolitans until midnight.
