Garden City: Beer dinner @ Waterzooi

Waterzooi, the Belgian-style bistro known for its fine brews on tap, hosts a five-course dinner tomorrow pairing Belgian beers with autumn dishes.
The cost is $49.95, plus tax and service charge. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. Since seating is limited, reserve yours at 516-877-2177.
Beers from the portfolio of Latis Imports will be featured at the event. Palm "Speciale Belge" is being matched with a tart of caramelized onion, Ardennes ham, and fourme d'ambert cheese; Rodenbach red-brown beer goes with wild-boar sausage, braised cabbage and Belgian mash; Steenbruge Tripel Abbey, with medallions of monkfish, crisp ox tail, smoked-tomato risotto, spinach and truffled lobster Bordelaise; Steenbruge Dubbel Bruin Abbey, with pork osso buco, creamy rosemary-seasoned polenta, grilled asparagus; and Kriek Boon, with a Belgian chocolate-hazelnut torte and bourbon-caramel-ginger snap gelato.
