Ethos, which brought a taste of the Aegean to Great Neck in 2007, has closed.

The restaurant, which earned a two-star rating in Newsday, announced the shutdown on its web site, saying "We wanted to thank all our loyal customers."

Ethos was known for its very good, whole grilled fish, such as pink snapper and red mullet; grilled octopus; and appetizing spreads, including taramosalata, skordalia and hummus. It was in the space which formerly housed the popular Millie's restaurant in the '80s.

Ethos was at 25 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck.
