Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille opens in East Meadow

Just in time for football season, the Greene Turtle Sports Bar and Grille opened its second Long Island location Monday in East Meadow. Part of a mid-Atlantic chain of casual, family-friendly sports bars, the East Meadow restaurant features big-screen TVs that broadcast local and national events. The other LI branch is in Franklin Square.
The menu focuses on comfort food, with a large selection of creative burgers including a PB&J Bacon Burger and a Kickin’ Bourbon Burger with bacon, onions, provolone and bourbon aoli ($10 to $14); gourmet tacos ($12 to $14); ribs ($19); mac and cheese with lump crab and bacon ($11), and fish and chips ($12). A lunch menu of burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads and flatbread pizzas guarantees quick service with prices starting at $7. Kids’ meals ($6) come with drinks and cater to smaller appetites. A rewards card offers discounts to frequent diners. Its Funds for Friends program allows community organizations to host events and collect a percentage of the receipts.
