Up and running in Huntington in the former home of Sally’s Cocofe is Neraki Greek Mediterranean Grill, specializing in traditional Greek whole grilled fish. Behind the grill is chef Alex Moschos, who owns the place with his wife, Olga, the manager.

Moschos,  who learned his craft at the well-known Astoria Greek seafood restaurant Elias Corner, goes  to Hunt’s Point Market daily to buy the fish and meat he serves. Because he is so hands-on, he says, he's able to keep prices down.

The costliest item is a grilled red snapper at $22.95, enough to feed two, according to Moschos. The menu also lists  mezedes (Greek shared appetizers), among them grilled octopus ($12.95), taramasalata (carp roe mousse spread, $5.95) and grilled or fried sardines ($12.95). Entrees include chicken kebabs ($14.95), rib lamb chops ($19.95) and a 16-ounce New York strip steak, ($19.95), all served with hand-cut fries.

Neraki Greek Mediterranean Grill is at 273 Main St., Huntington, 631-385-3473
