And then there was one. Antonette’s Classico in Rockville Centre has closed, joining the original Antonette’s of Bellmore in the restaurant hereafter.

But Antonette’s East Hills remains open, in the stately Glen Cove Road location that has been home to Table 9, Brivo and, for many years, L’Endroit. Owner James Antoniotti has joined forces with executive chef Saverio Caratozzolo, formerly of Taormina in Sea Cliff and SaVino’s in Lynbrook.

Caratozzolo, who is also a partner, said that he was in the process of rejiggering the kitchen. “We’re going to be doing real fine dining,” he said. “There will be more authentic Italian, and lighter dishes — more fish and vegetables.” Currently he and his team are finalizing such items as clams with zucchini cream and fresh pasta, grilled octopus with cannellini beans and tomatoes, bucatini all’Amatriciana, spaghetti alla carbonara (“like they do in Rome, with no cream”), homemade tagliatelle Bolognese and spaghetti allo scoglio (topped with a mixture of seafood). Look for the new menu in the next few weeks.

Antonette’s East Hills is at 290 Glen Cove Rd., Roslyn Heights, 516-626-6490, antonetteseasthills.com
