
Italian restaurant Autentico opens in Oyster Bay

Autentico, a stylish Italian restaurant, has opened in Oyster Bay.
This week, Autentico is open Wednesday to Sunday. The hours at the restaurant, which prepares fare suitable for breakfast, lunch and dinner, are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., except Sunday, when it closes at 4 p.m.
It’s the first restaurant for owners Zac Nudo and Connie Cincotta. Chef Francesco Pecoraro’s experience includes operating a restaurant in Rimini, Italy.
The menu will change weekly. Typical choices: piadino di Rimini, or flatbread with prosciutto, stracchino cheese and arugula ($10); smoked salmon crostini with crème fraiche and chives ($14); asparagus-goat cheese frittata ($10); tortellini “3P” with panna, or cream, Parmesan cheese, and prosciutto ($18); fish soup Livornese ($20); stracchino cheese mousse with honey and caramelized nuts ($7); assorted meats and cheeses with mostarda ($18); spaghetti with seafood and breadcrumbs ($20); and befitting chef Pecoraro’s Sicilian heritage, brioche with gelato ($7); and chocolate, cinnamon, pistachio and hazelnut gelati ($6).
Autentico is situated in the former site of Gulden’s Café & Bakery and offers take-out as well as dine-in service.
