A new family-run spot in Seaford, Gusto DiVino Trattoria, has opened in what had been Mulberry Street.

Originally from Montenegro, Mike Glavatovic is the owner, and his nephew, Dona Djonbalaj, is managing the front of the house. Glavatovic has worked in restaurants in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Westchester for the last 25 years.

Michael Heinlein, executive chef, formerly worked at The Grill in Hauppauge. Here, he has carved out a lunch and dinner menu of dishes from the Italian-American canon. Think Caesar salad ($11), walnut and goat cheese salad on arugula ($13), and antipasti that includes baked clams ($12) and eggplant Napoleon ($13). Among pastas, there’s cavatelli Sardinia ($23), rigatoni all’Amatriciana ($23) and penne alla Vodka ($19).

In case you’re missing the classics, there’s a separate section on the menu for pork osso buco ($24), chicken Marsala ($24), chicken Parmesan ($22) and lasagna ($19) - all served with pasta or salad. Ten-inch pizzas run from Neapolitan- ($10) and Sicilian- style ($14 for a 12-inch square) to Buffalo chicken ($13) pie.

Gusto DiVino is open for lunch from noon to 3 p.m., dinner 3 to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday and until 11 p.m. for dinner on Saturday. Sunday brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner is served from 3 to 9 p.m.
