Italian restaurant Livorno Ristorante opens in Lynbrook
Serving up an Italian menu with Sicilian overtones is the new Livorno Ristorante in Lynbrook. If the name of the place sounds familiar, that’s because chef-owner Nick Cobic was a partner at a departed Port Washington restaurant with the same name.
Cobic, who hails from Croatia, offers such dishes as carciofo ripieno (stuffed artichokes), tripa alla Siciliana (veal tripe braised with black olives), insalata di arance (orange salad), pork chop al Gorgonzola, chicken Francese, spaghettini puttanesca, scungilli fra diavolo and a calamari casserole. Not on the menu but available as a special daily is pasta con sarde (Sicilian-style pasta with sardines) and braciole. Prices for pastas and entrees start at $16.95 for ricotta-filled ravioli and top out at $26.95 for grilled red snapper.
Livorno Ristorante is at 79 Atlantic Ave., Lynbrook, 516-439-4881.
