Kashi Sushi & Steakhouse opens in Rockville Centre

Kashi Sushi & Steakhouse,  offspring of Kashi Sushi in Huntington, has opened in Rockville Centre.

The new restaurant, which includes rooms for sushi and for hibachi as well as a bar-lounge area, is in the renovated space that used to house Tandoor Grill and LEGZZ dance studio. The overhaul of the 7,500-square foot, subdivided building took nine months.

Kashi Sushi  in Huntington earned a two-and-one-half star rating in Newsday last year. It's at 12 Elm St.; 631-923-1960.

The Rockville Centre restaurant is open every day. Lunch is Monday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner, Monday to Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
