La Bottega comes to Farmingdale
The ever-evolving Farmingdale restaurant scene now has its own La Bottega. The Italian sandwich/salad/pasta/ pizza franchise group, launched in Garden City South by Giuseppe and Marisa Ruta, now numbers 13, according to Giuseppe Ruta. There are also two in Queens, two in New Jersey, one in Brooklyn and, believe it or not, in Modica, Sicily.
On the Farmingdale menu: roasted salmon salad ($12), the San Remo panino (with roasted turkey, mozzarella, roasted hot pepper and guacamole), penne alla Siciliana with eggplant, tomato sauce and basil ($13.50) and a Margherita pizzetta ($10.50). Gluten-free options are available. You'll also find gelato here.
La Bottega is at 257 Main St., Farmingdale, 516-586-8195, labottegafarmingdale.com
