Lawan Authentic Thai Cuisine, a well-appointed, well-regarded Patchogue restaurant, will close for good on Thursday, March 13. Chef-owner Lawan Thongsri said she will be retiring and moving back to Thailand.

Which means you’d better hurry if you want another taste of her bracing tom yum goong (hot and sour shrimp soup), peppery larb (warm ground beef, pork or chicken salad) and a host of complex curries.

In addition to its food, the place was known for its decorative showpiece, a bicycle-driven rickshaw called a samlor.

Lawan Authentic Thai Restaurant is at 13 E. Main St., Patchogue,  631-687-1313.
