Margarita’s Cafe, the growing Long Island chainlet of Mexican-themed restaurants, has expanded to Freeport.

The restaurant, which quietly opened earlier this month in the space formerly occupied by The Patio, is planning an official grand opening Tuesday, June 27.

The seaside outpost marks the seventh location for Margarita’s including locations in East Meadow, Hicksville, Merrick, Smithtown, Wantagh and Williston Park. The restaurant group also owns The Cuban in Garden City.

Here, the space has been given a more festive makeover with as much emphasis on the drink as the food. There are two bars, one inside and another outside, though the outdoor bar will only be open on weekends for now.

Not to worry, people wanting to grab one of the more than 150 seats on the deck will be able to do so on weekdays.

The menu will have more seafood than Margarita’s other locations, including a lobster roll ($25), raw clams ($11 for a half- dozen, $22 for 12), and more composed dishes like a seafood paella ($29.95).
