The food truck trend has made its way east. For quick, quality meals, look for the following mobile restaurants when you are in the Hamptons and on the North Fork this summer.

NORTH FORK FOOD TRUCK; 631-765-0177, facebook.com/NorthForkTableAndInn

The lunch truck parked in the lot of the acclaimed North Fork Table & Inn in Southold was such a hit that owners Claudia Fleming and Gerry Hayden bought a second truck to take on the road. You can generally find this truck on Tuesdays at Corey Creek Vineyards in Southold for "Twilight Tuesday."

On Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m. at McCall Wines, it features burgers made from local grass-fed beef. Saturdays from 3 to 6 p.m. at Greenport Harbor Brewing Co., there's fish and chips made with beer batter from the brewery. Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., the truck pulls into 8 Hands Farm in Cutchogue and offers egg sandwiches using eggs from the farm and bacon or housemade sausage. Check the North Fork Food Truck's Facebook page for daily schedule and last-minute changes. Available for private parties, with many custom menu options.

EAT ME DRINK ME; eatmedrinkmetruck.com

This gourmet food truck is parked at the Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore throughout the year, but travels the North Fork and beyond during the summer months, serving up sandwiches, burgers from grass-fed beef and truffle fries. "We love the North Fork," says owner Michelle Panciarello.

The truck has dates scheduled at Laurel Lake Vineyards, the annual Edible East End Great Food Truck Derby, a car show at Splish Splash and Baby Animal Day at Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank.

DITCH WITCH

Operating since 1994, the Ditch Witch is the East End's original food truck. You can find it in the parking lot near the entrance to Ditch Plains Beach in Montauk. Order a breakfast burrito and coffee to start your day. Reasonably priced grilled sandwiches, wraps and salads are convenient for lunch.

SILVER SPOON SPECIALTIES; 631-875-4400, silverspoonspecialties.com

This sleek trailer serves up ciabatta sandwiches as well as burgers, fries and quesadillas at events on the East End throughout the spring and summer, including the Empire State Pride Agenda's Hamptons Tea Dance, the Clay Art Festival at Hayground and the horse show at the Wölffer Estate Stables. A much larger catering menu is available for private events.

HAMPTONS COFFEE MOBILE ESPRESSO UNIT; 631-726-2633, ext. 7, hamptoncoffeecompany.com

The venerable Hamptons coffee roaster has acquired a custom-built Mercedes van, outfitted with imported cappuccino machines, blenders and refrigerators, so it can serve its full menu of hot and iced coffee drinks, teas and smoothies on the road. The Hampton Coffee Company Mobile Espresso Unit travels to various locations in the Hamptons (and does private parties), but its specialty during the summer season is charity events, like Super Saturday (the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's tag sale) and the Blessing of the Bikes, where it donates coffee for good causes.
