Noodles & Company set to give away free meals before Garden City Park opening

The fast-growing Noodles & Company chain continues its expansion with the opening Dec. 7 of a Garden City Park location, its fifth on Long Island. In advance of the official grand opening, the restaurant will give away one free entree and a drink to 472 diners who sign up in advance. The giveaway runs Dec. 3 and Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m.
Guests must register with their preferred date, time and number of guests at events.noodles.com using event code GARDENCITYPARK. In lieu of payment, Noodles & Company will be accepting donations; 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit The American Red Cross on Long Island, according to company spokesman Tim Magorrian.
The Garden City Park location joins branches at Hicksville’s Broadway Mall, the Gallery at Westbury Plaza, Waverly Plaza shopping center in Patchogue, and in Farmingdale’s Airport Plaza. Noodles & Company’s menu circles the globe, including Japanese pan noodles, pesto cavatappi, pad thai, and Wisconsin mac and cheese. All are customizable. Add a protein such as pork, steak, shrimp, or tofu. Choose a side soup or salad if you’d like. No worries if you’re the only one in your party following a low-carb diet: The restaurant offers a variety of “Buff Bowls,” with spinach instead of noodles, double the fresh vegetables, and your choice of meat, seafood, or tofu, all under 400 calories. There are wines from around the world and beers “from down the block.”
Although there’s more service here than at a typical fast food restaurant, there’s no tipping allowed. And nothing on the menu exceeds $10.
