Oakdale: Spring wine dinner @ View
View, the waterside New American restaurant in Oakdale, hosts a springtime wine dinner next Friday.
The March 24 dinner at the eatery on Great South Bay starts at 7 p.m. Cost: $75 per person.
Pairings include seared sea scallops with Markham Sauvignon Blanc; butter-poached lobster tail with Sonoma-Cutrer Russian River Ranches Chardonnay; pan-roasted duck breast with Poesia Malbec; butter-poached beef rib-eye with Oberon Cabernet Sauvignon; and a Valrhona chocolate souffle with Fonseca Ruby Port.
