Open in Bayville: Breakers Sports Bar and Grill

The former Breakers restaurant, a longtime fixture in Bayville, has reopened under new ownership as Breakers Sports Bar and Grill. The renovated spot is under the aegis of the Jekyll and Hyde Entertainment Group, which also owns Shipwreck Tavern next door and the nearby Bayville Adventure Park.

Because Shipwreck Tavern offers a lot of seafood, Breakers is more of a wings and burgers kind of place, said co-owner Anne Finley. Fifteen flat-screen TVs assure sports fans that they can catch the game du jour. There's also an outdoor dining deck and bar.

On the menu: a tasting of French fries ($11.95) with such seasonings as salt and garlic pepper, and salt and vinegar; mac and cheese ($7.95); wings ($9.95 for eight, $12.95 for a sampling of 12) in such flavors as Buffalo garlic and Peking style; a chopped Cobb salad ($10.95); a Memphis burger topped with pulled pork, crisp onions and Cheddar ($13.95), and fried chicken ($16.95). A kids' menu is also available.
