Dori Korean Restaurant succeeds Ko Gu Ryo in a peak-roofed Commack building that’s hosted a long line of Korean dining spots.

Owner Sean Kim described the cuisine as both Korean and Korean-Chinese, which he defined as Chinese food that's been adapted to Korean tastes. Chef Y.H. Kim is in the kitchen — and, in fact, has been in that same kitchen through several of the building’s previous incarnations.

On the menu: Korean wonton soup ($4.95), seafood pajun, or scallion pancakes with clams, shrimp and squid  ($9.95), dolsot (hot stone) bibimbap ($13.95), Szechuan seafood rice ($14.95) and bulgogi, or thinly sliced grilled beef rib eye ($18.95).

Dori Korean Restaurant is at 1087 Jericho Tpke., Commack, 631-543-3355  and 631-543-6790..
