Huntington Station just got its own branch of Pollo Campero, an international Latin chicken chain that originated in Guatemala, with U.S. corporate headquarters in Dallas. Other Long Island locations include Hempstead and Bay Shore.

The signature item at this counter-serve spot is marinated fried chicken ($7.19 for three pieces with a side dish and tortillas or a dinner roll), but you can also get grilled chicken ($5.39 for a quarter, with a side and a tortilla or dinner roll), a chicken bowl containing fried or grilled chicken with beans, rice, cilantro, onion and pico de gallo ($7.19), as well as empanadas ($1.59 for one; $6.99 for three, plus a side dish).

Pollo Campero is at 1805 New York Ave., Huntington Station, 631-423-6600, campero.com.
