The Florida-based chain Bonefish Grill has spawned its first Long Island location in Rockville Centre. The capacious restaurant, built from the ground up, stands where a long-closed movie theater was on Sunrise Highway. Inside, you'll find an open kitchen as well as a bar area with a communal table.
On the seafood-focused menu: Bang bang shrimp flatbread ($9.40), ahi tuna sashimi ($11.30), Baja fish tacos ($13.10), a shrimp pad Thai bowl ($12.90), wood-grilled ahi tuna steak ($17.70), and a sirloin and crabcake dinner ($20.90). For dessert: Key lime pie ($6.90), crème brûlée ($7.30) and Jamaican coconut pie ($7.30)
The restaurant is open for dinner daily and also serves lunch on Saturday. At Sunday brunch, you can get such dishes as crème brûlée French toast ($10.50) and surf and turf eggs Benedict ($13.50).
