Plum Crazy, Kings Park

Plum Crazy, Kings Park Credit: Joan Reminick

New to the burgeoning Kings Park eating scene is Plum Crazy Gourmet Kitchen, a combination cafe, pizzeria, deli and more that opened last month.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because co-owners Mark George and Luke Ruzgas closed their Huntington Station produce market to relocate and launch an enterprise that George called “a little more gourmet.”

Service is order-at-the-counter. You’ll find Neapolitan, Sicilian and Grandma pizzas as well as a full list of Italian entrees (chicken Marsala, shrimp oreganata) and pastas (pick a shape, pick a sauce). Have a panino, a burger or a wrap. Breakfast options include Belgian waffles, Dutch apple pancakes and a wild mushroom asparagus omelet. You can get a prepared meal to go or eat at a table while watching a game or cooking show on one of the flat screen TVs.

What else does this multipurpose place have? A butcher counter, deli, bakery, coffee-espresso counter and produce section.

Plum Crazy is at 95 Pulaski Rd., Kings Park, 631-544-1000.
