Sagamore Hill, the home of Theodore Roosevelt for almost 35 years, has reopened after a three-year restoration and rehabilitation. The Cove Neck landmark is open for tours for $10 per person, with discounts for children and senior citizens.

President Roosevelt's summer offices once were housed in this corner building. Wild Honey Dining & Wine is a mainly New American spot. At lunch, consider Pine Island oysters, crab-and-lobster meatballs, Cedar Ranch beef burger, pan-seared grouper, crisp Thai-seasoned calamari, Cobb salad.

CANTERBURY'S OYSTER BAR & GRILL
Lots of Roosevelt imagery is part of the decor at Canterbury's. For lunch, the choices include local clam-and-corn chowder, oysters oreganata, pulled pork sliders, sirloin burger, oyster po'boy BLT, a sliced steak sandwich, fish-and-chips, chopped salads, crabcakes, grilled chicken Caesar salad.
