Trattoria Diane, which took a Roman holiday and now emphasizes the city's cuisine, offers a three-course, fixed-price menu on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Cost: $29.95 plus tax and tip.

Appetizers include some of the restaurant's savory vegetable dishes, including sweet-and-sour butternut squash with mint, Brussels sprouts with lemon and pecorino Romano cheese, fried artichokes with lemon and fried zucchini blossoms with goat cheese and tomato sauce. Also: roasted figs with prosciutto, arugula and Gorgonzola cheese; grilled shrimp; fried shrimp; and  meatballs with tomato-rosemary sauce.

Main courses include pastas such as bucatini all'Amatriciana, fettuccine Bolognese, butternut-squash ravioli, and spaghetti alla carbonara. You'll also find saltimbocca, short ribs, roasted chicken, pan-seared pork chop, and pan-seared salmon.

Desserts selections are the chef's daily creations. Diane's bakery is next door.
