The Willis Avenue site of Churrascaria Riodizio is to become a New American restaurant next week: 388.
William Vitale and chef Saul Mejia, veterans of Matteo's restaurant in Huntington, have taken over the place where Brazilian barbecue reigned. Now, says Vitale, diners will find "New American comfort food," light Italian fare including thin-crust pizzas and panini, plenty of seafood and salads. He expects main courses to cost $20-$30. 388 will be open for lunch and dinner starting on Wednesday.
